Key West is one of the BEST LOCATIONS to own a timeshare. It all comes down to TRADING POWER. What most people do not know is that Trading Power is THE Most Important factor in owning a timeshare. And very very few people know anything about trading power.
Call me and I can explain a lot more... but the basics:
1. Trading Power - The BEST reason to own ANY timeshare is to trade it to great resorts all over
the world. With HIGH Trading Power you CAN.... you can get all the best resorts and all the
best weeks, holidays, prime weeks and with no problem. However, if you have LOW Trading
power then you will be very frustrated by not getting the trades you want... and you will have
to settle for off season weeks and just average resorts. (They never tell you these things
when you buy your timeshare in Vegas or Orlando...and in fact they lie about it)
2. Places like Orlando and Vegas are the WORST places to own a timeshare because they have
very LOW trading power. Why? Think about it. If you know anything about those locations
or go to RCI or II websites you will see LOTS AND LOTS of HUGE Timeshare Resorts. That
means they are WAY WAY Overbuilt... so very easy to trade the cheapest of timeshares to all
the best resorts in Orlando or Vegas... so the timeshares are worthless.
3. So... you want very HIGH Trading Power to get all the best resorts and best weeks. Key West
is THE BEST location in the world to own a timeshare. Think about it. There are very few
units available... NO high rise hotels or timeshares with lots of units... all resorts are small....
so very few rooms, a good thing if you own there. Also, the DEMAND for Key West is very
very HIGH... lots of people want to go... and there are few rooms.... so when you own any
timeshare in Key West you have VERY HIGH Trading Power. It is among the best in the
world. Hawaii is good too... but generally is more expensive and has higher maint fees!
So, why own in Hawaii when you can just own in Key West and Trade to Hawaii.
And, with a very limited land space in Key West... less land than Hawaii... it will NEVER be
overbuilt and will always have high trading power.
