Orlando Christmas Week1. Most people get caught up in HYPE ! Don't do it ! 2. Rent a Car. Cars are generally cheap to rent. You save a lot of time and you save on taxi fare, can go to the grocery store or anywhere else when you want. You have a limited time on vacation, and it makes the most of it... you get a better vacation, see more in less time. Also, waiting for buses or transportation is no fun. 3. Don't go on too many tours. It is easy to get caught up in all the "tourist trap stuff". Try to do the best things by doing some research and if you have a car you can many times find lots of free or low cost things to do, and make sure you just enjoy the resort...you are paying for it. 4. Shows - I much prefer the Comedy Clubs, Hypnotist, some Magic Shows that cost less and can be better than the high priced shows. And, many times you can get comps or free tickets to them. There are a few locations where you can each day get 1/2 priced tickets, highly recommended. BEST RESORTS IN THE WORLD: These are only a few, there are so many great timeshares that no one can experience them all. As I have said elsewhere, the big names, hyped, highly rated resorts may actually not be as good as smaller or lower rated resorts. Many smaller resorts have less activites or no bars or restaurants. So what? Some resorts have units that are directly on the beach, or just amazing views, or an ambiance that just cannot be duplicated in any large resort. Also, a smaller resort is more relaxing and can be more romantic. However, you may want a resort that is larger if you want more activities for the kids. So here are a few of my favorites and a few that other people tell me they love. Aruba Vegas Marriott - just a high rise with standard rooms, nice but others are better. Tahiti Village - a new resort and nice pools - great place to stay. Polo Towers, Carriage House and Jockey Club - Nice resorts and great locations on the strip. Most other timeshares are great also, and if you have a car, not a big deal to just drive where you want to go. Some of these have great pools & better facilities than some on the strip. Vegas tips: 2. Set a limit on gambling so if you lose you feel you just paid for entertainment and if you win just a great bonus. Realize the buidings you see where built 3. Don't eat at too many buffets. You will just stuff yourself. Use the kitchen in your timeshare to eat less, save money and then eat at a nice restaurant for a great dinner to remember....there are a lot of them. There are some great timeshares in wooded locations that are very nice. New Orleans Hawaii Mexico - there are so many there
A. Obviously no one would EVER purchase any timeshare from a developer if
they did not get caught up in the hype.
B. But... also in the timeshares people TRADE TO they get caught up in the hype.
For instance I have been to many Marriotts.... considered and rated very high.
However, in every case, Aruba, Hawaii and other Marriotts, I found lesser rated
resorts that were way better. Why? The Marriotts were CROWDED and more like
a guetto than a nice relaxing vacation. People bumping into each other.... pools
so crowded you can't even swim... waiting for an elevator is a pain....and rooms
are just basic hotel rooms, nice but no real character to them. Views were better
at other resorts, less crowded, more romantic, more secluded easier to get beach
chairs, and on and on. So, many standard resorts or lesser rated resorts can be
way better than the well known and hyped resorts.
Don't misunderstand me..... Marriotts can be great..... but in many ways may not
be, look at the details and not all the hype. And, this applies not just to Marriotts....
I just used that as an example. Many smaller resorts are great. Some can be right
on the ocean, some can be nice villas and not a highrise, some may not have a
bar or restaurant, but if there are lots in the area, and there always are.... who cares.
Some can also be more friendly, more relaxing, more romantic
St Lucia
Windjammer Landing - St Lucia - It is one of the best timeshares in the Caribbean and in the World - Check it out, an amazing resort.
Oasis Marigot - Great location and views
Divi Phoenix Aruba - Great location right on the beach, with great views of the ocean - very romantic and secluded... great location and my opinion is
the best location on Aruba. They also are building new oceanfront units new pool and restaurant... just great.
Marriott - Great for kids with lots of actiivties but is a high rise and many
of the rooms have very bad views. Great for families.
Divi Golf and Beach Resort - Great for golfers
Desert Inn Club Las Vegas - was Summer Bay and now is a brand new resort in a great location with new facilities. My opinion, it is the best location and best place
to stay and to own. Low cost and great resort !
1. Use the "free money" you get for match play and other coupons, it is
free money, take it when you can as casinos are always glad to take your
money.
on the money people lose...and there is a lot of it.
Orlando
Lots of great resorts in Orlando - Vistana is one of my favorites, Hilton, Marriott, Wyndham, Summer Bay, Silver Bay, and many others.
Quarter House is one of the best and best location, a few others are nice.
Marriotts are very nice resorts
Many have no ocean views but are nice, but the ones with oceanfront or oceanviews can be the nicest.
Royal Resorts are considered among the best in the world, but I prefer a smaller more intimate resort.
